St. John's holds a two-year catechetical program that teaches youth the basics of the Christian faith, the Bible, Luther's Small Catechism, and living the Christian life. Both first and second year students meet together.
On odd numbered start years, confirmands study the Old Testament. On even numbered start years, confirmands study the New Testament.
Confirmation is open to those in 7th grade or higher.
